HALA Board President Erik Pfahler Named 2019 Molina Community Champion!
Molina Healthcare, one of LA County’s incredible community-focused healthcare providers, manes a few individuals each year as Community Champions. In 2019, our Board President, Erik Pfahler, was honored to be among the recipients of this award!
Erik took the reins of HomeAid Los Angeles on short notice in early 2018 and has guided us ever since. In that time, we have seen great challenges, but under his leadership, we have experienced great success as well. 2018 saw the addition of a whopping 72 beds to the homeless service provider network in Los Angeles, with another 40 slated for 2020. These accomplishments would not be possible without Erik’s exemplary leadership.
Molina Healthcare was founded in 1980 as a high-quality option for low-income people seeking healthcare coverage. Since then, they have expanded to serve more than 3 million people nationwide. The company invests heavily in grassroots, community-led organizations looking to further its mission of caring for society’s most vulnerable people.
